HVAC Systems Upgrade

Project Overview

This project included upgrading existing AHU-9 in a 1st floor mechanical room and AHU-10 in the penthouse mechanical room, to improve the control and energy efficiency of the systems. Project included replacing the AHU’s, which included design of new ductwork at AHU’s, miscellaneous ductwork elsewhere as required for revised system zoning, new piping design, enlarged air intake in penthouse, new exhaust fans with VFD’s, complete new DDC control system, etc. in the Secretary of State Building, Dimondale, Michigan.  The project was phased such that the first unit (AHU-10) was operational prior to the shutdown and demolition of the second unit (AHU-9).
